We are nearing the end of our book of the month, A Child Called It, and students are engaging in some deep discussions around the sensitive topics in this award-winning text. In business/media, students are learning about the economy and why goods and services are becoming more expensive.

UMA Courses
Academics:
Students continued to explore math concepts involving making change and other subtraction strategies. They are also writing essays involving research after selecting one of three given topics.
Business and Media Integration (Mr. Thompson):
This week, students are learning about our economy. They are learning about terms such as inflation and deflation. Students also discussed The Great Depression and how this event happened in our history.
CBS 58 (Radio, TV, Podcasting):
We are in the process of selecting team captains to lead some of the work for our TV, radio, and podcast projects. Our students are demonstrating amazing leadership and creativity, and we can’t wait for the project to begin!
